Workshop for local community in Bač, Serbia, organized on 05 November 2024
On November 5th 2024 a workshop for the local community was organized with the Municipality of Bač in National Library “Vuk Karadžić” building. The workshop consisted of three presentations held by Sara Lukić, Snežana Belanović Simić and Aleksandar Baumgertel from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Forestry.
The first presentation entitled: “Field shelterbelts in agriculture – a step towards agroforestry” was presented by Sara Lukić. In this presentation the audience was introduced to the agroforestry systems in Serbia, pointing out the potentials and benefits of field shelterbelts in agriculture production systems.
Next presentation entitled: “The influence of forest protective belts on the condition of the soil” was presented by Snežana Belnović Simić. She provided insight into the agroforestry-soil connection, as well as the importance of agroforestry integration for sustainable development.
The final presentation presented by Aleksandar Baumgertel was related to the possibilities of financing the establishment of protective forest belts and access to funds.
